AIESEP 2024 Summer School for PhD Students

Who is eligible? All PhD students enrolled in a doctoral program in the fields of physical education and sport pedagogy anywhere in the world are invited to apply. The application is here. It is due via email to rmarttin@gmu.edu with your updated CV by October 31^st 2023.

Who is hosting this? This summer school will be hosted by AIESEP in collaboration with the University of Jyväskylä.

What is the cost? The cost to attend is 650€ (approx. $710 USD). This includes:

• Conference registration for AIESEP 2024 (May 13-17, 2024)
• Accommodation at Time Hostel (walking distance to the University) from May 13-21^st
  • The entire hostel is reserved for PhD students who have been accepted to the summer school for the time of the conference and summer school. You will stay with 1 or 2 other people in dorm rooms.
• Lunch and coffee breaks during the AIESEP conference.
• Three dinners out with faculty on the 18^th, 19^th, and 20^th.
• Mentoring by faculty during the summer school, where you will receive feedback on your writing, and academic presentation.
• Three full-day sessions of workshops during the summer school led by faculty. (sample topics: reviewing manuscripts, publishing high-quality manuscripts, qualitative methods, quantitative methods, research design, job interviewing skills, transitioning from PhD student to faculty member)
• Lunches during the summer school days.

• Travel to and from Jyväskylä

• Visas or other passport fees
